Cedar Tree Publishing is the publisher of the books in the Gun Lake Adventure Series.  The Gun Lake Adventure series teaches kids (and adults) about various disabilities—but it does so through adventure stories that appeal mainly to kids 8-10 years of age. The hero of the book, Johnnie Jacobson — cool first name, has cerebral palsy and relies on a wheelchair for mobility.

Noonday Trail Honored Internationally

Searching the Noonday Trail recently received an honor from the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY). Searching the Noonday Trail, the fourth book in the Gun Lake Adventure Series, was selected as one of the Best of Books for Young People with Disabilities. The book was showcased at the Bolonga Children's Book Fair in Bologna, Italy on April 13, 2005. Click here for more information.

The Barn at Gun Lake
Strange things are happening at the old, deserted McGruther barn. While on a camp out, Johnnie Jacobson and his new friends spot a huge yacht silently waiting in the deep, dark waters of Lake Michigan. Adventures in the Bear Tooth Mountains
A three-family Christmas vacation promises hours of skiing, hiking and relaxing in the scenic Bear Tooth Mountains of Montana. At Eagle Mount, Johnnie learns how people with disabilities can snow ski and enjoy other activities. But this isn?t the only discovery he and his friends make. An abandoned shack near a deserted ghost town, a snowmobile chase and a blizzard provide a chilling adventure that tests the kids? courage and survival skills.


The Light in Bradford Manor
Johnnie and his friends are treated to a special two-week adventure at Camp Riley in Indiana. There, Johnnie and his friends from Michigan and some of his newfound friends from Camp Riley find themselves on a hunt to solve a mystery - one that involves the legendary ghost of Bradford Manor.
