How to make your author visit successful.
We want your school to get the most out of the author visit as possible. In order to do so, we have put together a short list of things we ask schools to consider before our author arrives.
• Read Book One, The Barn at Gun Lake, with your students prior to the visit.
• Encourage your students to freely ask questions to Johnnie. He is comfortable and open with his disability, and he enjoys sharing stories with children.
• To make sure all students can hear the presentation, please provide a microphone if Johnnie will be speaking in a large area.
• Be prepared to send home book order forms for students to purchase discounted books in the Gun Lake Adventure Series.
All sessions are 45 minutes in length. Johnnie prefers to break the students up into lower elementary and upper elementary age groups for smaller and more personal presentations.
